Amanda Lopez is a licensed Mental Health Counselor. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Corban University in 2014. She completed her internship at a drug and alcohol residential treatment facility for adolescents. Through this experience Amanda saw that most of these individuals’ problems were symptoms of far deeper hurting.
After graduation, Amanda continued her work in a residential setting as an Emergency Safety Interventionist, where she specialized in supporting children and adolescents in the depths of their acute crisis and assisted them in using coping skills and working through their problems. Although Amanda has continued her experience by working with various populations in community settings as a Mental Health Therapist, Amanda had found it to be her passion in helping this population of children and adolescents though the symptoms of her problems.
Amanda believes the purpose of therapy is a process of helping people live to their full potential, which leads them to a more meaningful life. Amanda finds a balance of gently challenging individuals as well as helping individuals bring out their strengths as a source to moving forward.
Amanda has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She specializes in helping children and adolescents with different mental health issues as well as families struggling with relational issues.
