Mental Health Intern
Hello my name is Michelle Kenney and I am a graduate student intern completing my Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with Grand Canyon University and will graduate in October 2026. I chose to pursue the counseling field as I enjoy working with people and helping others to find solutions to challenges while providing compassion, empathy, and encouragement along the way.
Prior to beginning my graduate counseling program with Grand Canyon University in 2023, I was an elementary school teacher for eight years in two different Title One schools with diverse needs, and have more than ten years of customer service experience in various roles. I hold a Master’s in Teaching from Heritage University, a B.S in Dance from the University of Idaho and an Associate’s Degree from CBC. I was born and raised in the Tri-Cities for most of my life and I am passionate about helping individuals in this community from all walks of life.
