Mental Health Counselor Associate

Tylor Martinez is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who provides psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, children ages 8 and older, and couples. He earned his Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University and his Master of Science in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. He has also completed Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman Couples Therapy training, a research-supported approach focused on strengthening communication, connection, and emotional understanding within relationships.

Tylor brings over seven years of experience in clinical psychology, including supporting licensed clinical psychologists with the administration and scoring of psychological assessments, as well as providing therapy services to diverse populations. His clinical approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and individualized, drawing from evidence-based interventions to support each client’s unique needs, goals, and life circumstances.

Tylor’s treatment interests include developmental transitions such as marriage, divorce, and loss, along with complex emotional and psychological challenges. He also has a strong interest in personality functioning, personality disorders, and emotional granularity, which refers to the ability to accurately identify and describe emotional experiences. His work is guided by the belief that greater emotional understanding can help clients develop a stronger sense of self, navigate life’s challenges with more clarity, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
